I like metallic...

When painting a piece of furniture, by itself somehow it did not impress me. I like metallics, upholstery tacks, the effect achieved with the glaze. When I look at pictures of furniture that I painted in the past, or we have  in our house only a dresser  in Gabriella's nursery  is not finished with  any of my favorite techniques.

Table Refinishing ~ Progress

I decided to share with you the progress in the renewal of the table. I know it's been three weeks since I started, but life has its rights (and each stain or paint layer  required  drying time).
Three weeks later  I'm ready to put a layer of poly to protect my hard work.

Dining table refinishing idea

I bought a dining table, 3 years ago on craigslist. It is large, round and have two 12 inches insert leaves, so when it's open we have plenty of space, but since we do not have formal dining room (we do not need it) table is usually close, standing in breakfast nook. This is  mainly space where we eat but also this is my computer desk, craft table for me and Maia, my nail painting spot and  even for couple of months we bathe Gabi on this table.

DIY Balustrade Coffee Table.

In a previous post I wrote about the failed shopping in Zgalerie, this will be alluded to the sofa which was then we bought. In January, after the decision of  keeping  damaged sofa, my husband decided to build the coffee table.
